"Normality is never fixed."

At the end of the book, "Why Do You Think Too Much?" There was an episode that made me stop thinking about "gender normality."

I confessed that I also had the feeling that same-sex love was "not normal," although I didn't hate it, I didn't mind it, because I had many lovely brothers and sisters, but in my heart there was a deep voice asking, "Why do we feel this way?"

Until reading this book, the author relates that in the old days, whether Plato, Socrates, Alexander the Great, or even Oda Nobunaga had relationships with men, which for the time being was very common.

So I looked back at myself, and if that's what I thought was "unusual," it's just a cultivated belief, right?

The book also answers that we really view same-sex love as "bad," it comes from the influence of atheism, especially Christianity, because the Bible has a taboo on it. When Christ spread throughout the world with Western powers, colonization, economic systems, dress, science, this belief was spread.

It made me realize that what we think is really "unusual" may not be a universal fact, but the consequences of an unconscious culture and belief.

It seems to open up a new way for me to understand the world, that normality is not fixed, and sometimes questioning my beliefs is the most valuable learning.

# Let's read the book

You waste years trying to fix people who don’t want to be fixed. The truth? You can’t change anyone who doesn’t choose change. But the moment you stop forcing control and turn that energy inward, everything shifts. That’s real power. Change yourself, and watch the world respond.
