Angels Landing- The Most Thrilling Hike in Zion 🍋

With narrow ridges, jaw-dropping drop offs and insane 360 views, this hike is not for the faint of heart ♥️

Details- ✅ 5.4miles round trip with 1500 feet elevation and takes 3-5hours ✅ It is Strenuous ✅ Best time to go- Spring and Fall 🍂 🍃

⚠️ The famous chain section- The last half mile is what makes this hike legendary! You’ll hold onto metal chains as you climb narrow ridges with 1000+ ft drop-offs on both sides🤪 If you’re scared of heights, this might not be for you!

🎟️ Permit required! Since 2022, you must have a permit to hike past Scout Lookout. Apply via the seasonal or daily lottery on the NPS website.

Permits are required for this adventure, especially if you plan to hike beyond Scout Lookout—so make sure to apply through the National Park Service's seasonal or daily lottery system. Gear up appropriately; breathable jackets from brands like Nike, sturdy backpacks from REI, and supportive hiking shoes from Keen are recommended for a safe and enjoyable experience. If you don’t get a permit to do angles landing, do scouts landing hike! You get similar views to the top of angels landing, just from a lower view point. There is about 21 switch backs to the top so it is still a decently challenging hike. #zionnationalpark #hikeideas
