homemade whipped body butter

if you’re someone who loves to have soft, glowy skin but doesn’t like all of the chemicals/preservatives most body butters have, it’s time to start making your own natural, organic version!

do not be daunted by the task! making your own homemade body butter is super easy and can be so fun since you can add whatever you’d like, it’s very customizable!

this is my super simple recipe, it can be made within an hour. it’s super easy and quick to make + leaves my skin feeling heavenly and healthy after using!

you first want to start off by having all of the ingredients. everything can be found on amazon and is super affordable!

you first want to start off by melting down your shea butter (i used 1/2c) and your beeswax (2tsp) in a bowl, to do so i used the double boiler method.

once melted down, you want to place that bowl in the fridge for about 30 mins until it thickens up.

after it’s been in the fridge, you can add your oils!

i used 2tbsp vitamin e oil and 1tbsp bio oil + a few drops of rose scented essential oil, once combined in the bowl you can start the fun part!

blending it all together!!

this part is all up to your personal preference, blend until you get your desired consistency! and done!

now you have homemade whipped body butter!

you want to make sure to store it in an air tight container, should be good for 3/6 months!
