Trying Dr. Greger’s HOW NOT TO DIE diet

Hey yall i recently sat down on the toilet and attempted (and failed) to fix my sock as it slipped off my foot slowly. And SURPRISE SURPRISE it actually hurt to bend down. Well… that’s new 👀 as I scraped my dignity off the floor and handled my business i walked over to the mirror and saw something new. My body has changed as an over 30 year old woman. I’ve embraced my greys, lightened my heavy makeup to creams to gloss over and care for my new wrinkles, and welcomed changed in my body such as weight gain. I am a woman, hear me … struggle to bend over and touch my toes?

This is… uncomfortable. My partner has been more than supportive of my weight gain. She loves to bring me snacks, breakfast in bed and gently poke and pinch my rolls telling me I’m beautiful and I look like a normal average woman. This isn’t average to me. I’ve always stayed in the 100-115 lbs my entire life and now I’m pushing almost 140 lbs. As much as I don’t mind the weight gain… I mind it when it’s hard to breathe, walk long distances and bend over.

Further more, I am predisposition to heart disease. Well I lived with it my whole life. Heart disease is one of those illnesses that looks invisible on a 18 yr old, 20 yr old and even 30 yr old me. No one would have ever guessed I’ve had 2 open heart surgeries ‼️ sometimes it feels like I’m lying but then I remember I have all the scars and pictures to prove it. All the money and work I did to improve my health feels like I’ve just washed it down the drain. So this year I’m trying the EVIDENCE AND SCIENCE based weight loss program with Dr. Michael Gregers books. I can’t share the recipes. But I can bring yall along for the ride 😇 please be kind in the comments I’m seriously struggling. The cost is pricey to get started but once I have everything I need to make said food. I should be set. If you’d like a price break down (because I am a financial and food/nutrition nerd) LMK 💙
