The 3 stages in any brand design project ✍️ Enjoy watching the process? Let me know and follow for more!
When I first dove into brand design projects, I quickly realized that each stage plays a vital role in shaping the final outcome. Starting with strategy is essential because it sets the foundation. Taking the time to understand the brand’s core values and the audience helps craft a concept that feels authentic and relevant. For example, in designing a brand for a juice business, focusing on ideas like 'sunny,' 'fresh,' and 'pure' immediately guided color palette choices and messaging. Moodboarding is truly where the creative energy picks up. Compiling visuals, textures, and inspiration helps translate abstract ideas from the strategy into tangible elements. It’s a fun yet careful process of selecting pieces that align perfectly with the vibe you want to convey. I found that revisiting and tweaking the moodboard was crucial to ensure the vision was crystal clear before moving forward. The final design phase is where experimentation shines. Working with logos, patterns, and lettering inspired by natural elements—like using vine-like shapes or incorporating leaves—brings uniqueness and meaning to the brand. Trial and error leads to discovering the perfect balance in simplicity and symbolism. For instance, turning a letter “V” into a vine with a leaf to symbolize growth and freshness was a memorable highlight of my project. Overall, embracing these three stages with patience and creativity transforms the abstract ideas into impactful brand designs. It’s rewarding to see how strategy, moodboarding, and design interplay to capture the essence of a brand and tell its story visually. For anyone starting brand design, focusing on these core stages unlocks a successful creative process.
