One critical aspect involved choosing colors and imagery associated with care, safety, and warmth. Soft pastel tones combined with playful yet simple graphics conveyed Otay's purpose effectively. Integrating the name into the visual design was also essential; the use of gentle curves and approachable typefaces made the brand feel accessible. Additionally, considering the app’s functionality helped shape the branding strategy. Since childcare apps need to be intuitive and comforting, the branding needed to resonate with users right from their first interaction. I remember testing logo variations and color palettes with real parents to gather feedback, which proved invaluable in refining the design. Overall, this project taught me that successful app branding, especially in sensitive niches such as childcare, requires empathy, clarity, and creativity. Otay’s branding continues to stand out because it balances child-friendly aesthetics with a professional vibe, supporting the app’s mission to aid parents and caregivers effectively.
