I read this about 2 months ago, and I will tell you know I didn’t like it all that much. It’s a fiction contemporary-crime-mystery, that is pretty slow paced, too slow paced for my liking. The way King writes is refreshing, but at times too literary to really be able to sink your teeth into the plot. I can also say it’s been quite a while where I’ve struggled to follow. However, I do have to take ownership that at times I forgot what happened in previous sections due to how much time passed between each reading session I had.
Maybe your experience will differ. This is for the readers who seek enjoy sharp, neo-noir narratives that balance biting satire and frantic humor with deeply haunting, intellectually-driven prose.
