Tattoo healing process
DAY 20: 75 SOFT 📖✨
When you finally get your tattoo, the healing process is just as important as the tattoo itself. In my experience, the first week requires gentle care—keeping the tattoo clean, avoiding direct sunlight, and applying a fragrance-free moisturizer to prevent dryness. The tattoo will likely peel starting around days 5 to 7, which is completely normal and signals that your skin is renewing itself. Around day 20, you might notice the tattoo looks softer and colors start to settle. This is the time to continue moisturizing and avoid picking at scabs to preserve the ink’s sharpness. For hand tattoos, healing can be trickier due to constant movement and exposure; I recommend extra patience and protecting the area from water and friction. Remember, every tattoo and skin type heals differently. Listening to your body and adjusting your care routine accordingly can make a big difference. Documenting your healing journey with pictures can help track progress and identify any unusual signs early on. Taking these steps helped me maintain bright and clear tattoos that I’m proud to show off.
