My OCs Speedart ✍🏻

Hey everyone! So thrilled you're checking out my latest OC redraws! I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the creative process behind bringing Bridgira and Ruikyro to life, especially since some of you have been curious about the 'conjoined' aspect of their design. When I first started thinking about these characters, way back in the early 2020s, I wasn't just drawing two separate individuals. I was envisioning a bond so deep it almost felt... intertwined. That's where the idea of a 'conjoined' theme came into play, not necessarily in a literal sense of conjoined twins, but as a symbolic representation of their inseparable destinies and personalities. It's about how their lives are woven together, influencing every decision and challenge they face. For Bridgira, whose name playfully echoes 'gira' in my sketches, and Ruikyro, their connection is absolutely central to the story I'm building. Their shared experiences, their struggles, and even their dreams are so tightly linked that they often feel like two halves of a whole. This concept really inspired me to explore unique visual elements in their redesigns that hint at this profound connection, much like you might see in some 'conjoined manga' narratives where characters share an extraordinary, almost mystical bond. Think about characters who complete each other, not just emotionally, but almost visually. This pushed me to think outside the box when it came to their poses, their interactions, and even subtle design cues that suggest their closeness. Redrawing them from my old sketchbook pages to their current digital forms has been a fascinating journey. It's truly a "before and after" experience. Seeing how they've evolved, especially with Bridgira now at "Age 17" in my current story timeline, really highlights how characters grow with you. I always aim for my OCs to have depth, and sometimes that means exploring unconventional relationships or appearances to tell their tale more powerfully. It's about how their forms reflect their inner world and the unique challenges their profound bond presents. I spent a lot of time experimenting with different ways to visually represent their connection without being overtly literal, often using flowing lines, complementary color palettes, or even shared accessories to symbolize their unity. When designing the antagonist, Emerlanne, this year, I kept thinking about how she would challenge Bridgira and Ruikyro's unique dynamic. What kind of force would truly test such an inseparable pair? Her introduction is really going to push their limits and explore the true strength of their bond, whether it's perceived as 'conjoined' or just an incredibly strong partnership. It makes for some really compelling narrative possibilities when you have characters who are so deeply tied to each other, and an antagonist who aims to sever that connection. I hope this gives you a little more insight into my OCs and the thought process behind their designs and the story I'm weaving. Creating characters like this, who resonate with themes of deep connection and shared destiny, is incredibly rewarding.
