How to Make a Double-Sided Scarf
Would you like to make a DIY double-sided scarf? I pull this out of the depths of my closet when the cooler weather strikes.
And it’s super simple to make. Mine is animal print on one side and crochet knit on the other.
This is a great project for someone starting to sew knits. And, it’s a nice and easy last-minute gift to make for the holidays. 🎁
🪡 In a nutshell, this is how I made my double-sided scarf:
1. You’ll need less than 2 yards of fabric and your basic sewing supplies. I used knit, but you can use fleece or any other material that doesn’t fray.
2. Cut 2 rectangles lengthwise on the fabric. A good size is 64 inches x 10 inches.
3. Layer them together, right sides facing.
4. Pin them together, lengthwise.
5. Sew the long sides together with the sewing machine or serger.
6. Turn the scarf inside out. (And press it to make it neat.)
All done!
