I am delighted to perform for patients, visitors, and staff.
NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CANCER INSTITUTE, SINGAPORE 5 Lower Kent Ridge Road,
Preparing for my volunteer piano recital at NUH Medical Centre is always a rewarding experience. I find that practicing not only refines my performance but also deepens my connection with the community I serve. Volunteering as a pianist at the National University Hospital allows me to use my passion for music to bring moments of peace and happiness to patients and their families during challenging times. Each recital is thoughtfully planned to suit the setting of the hospital, with a selection of soothing and familiar tunes that help create a calming environment. This experience has taught me the powerful role music plays in healing and emotional support. Engaging with healthcare staff and hearing their feedback has further motivated me to continue volunteering and improving my craft. For anyone considering similar volunteer work, my advice is to prepare thoroughly and embrace the unique opportunity to make a positive difference. Your music can brighten someone's day and remind them they are cared for, which is truly fulfilling. Volunteering at the National University Hospital has been an inspiring journey, blending my love for piano with meaningful community service.
