TangleWood Park Christmas Lights
TangleWood park is located in Clemmons, North Carolina next to Winston-Salem.
This was my very first time going here! i enjoyed it a lot, it wasn’t too busy so it was great!!!
i loved the gift shops, a lot of variety there! I just got a sourdough starter kit and a spatula with a mason jar lid cover.
My boyfriend got him homemade soft caramel chews!
after visiting the gift shop, we went straight to the side of the building and went to the trucks for smores!! we got a bag each and made us some smores. it was okay but everytime i bit down it felt like my braces was gonna break 😠so i just ate the marshmallows.
After we got hot chocolate and hot apple cider from the other truck there! there was many more options and we also got a cinnamon sugar pretzel!
we soon left and it was allll over but overall i enjoyed coming here!!

Okay, so if you're searching for the ultimate holiday magic in North Carolina, especially around Winston-Salem or Clemmons, let me tell you about Tanglewood Park's Festival of Lights! My recent first-time visit completely captivated me, and I just have to share more details beyond my initial whirlwind experience. For anyone wondering about 'Christmas lights in Winston Salem NC' or 'what to expect at Tanglewood lights,' this is for you! First off, the drive-through experience is truly the star. As you slowly make your way through the park, each turn reveals a new spectacle. We drove through a stunning rainbow-lit tunnel that felt straight out of a fairy tale – definitely a highlight for photos! Keep an eye out for the charming "Happy Holidays" light display and the majestic illuminated castle-themed display with its beautiful blue and green lights. My eyes were glued to the whimsical scenes on the dark hillsides, featuring figures watering flowers, butterflies, and all sorts of other illuminated shapes. You'll also pass under a grand archway of red and green Christmas lights and see multiple bell-shaped Christmas light displays hanging gracefully from the trees. It’s a 4.4-mile journey, so give yourself plenty of time to soak it all in without rushing. Beyond the dazzling lights, there's so much more to do. The gift shops are a treasure trove! I found some really unique local crafts and even snagged an Organic Dehydrated Sourdough Starter (hello, new baking hobby!). My boyfriend was thrilled with his homemade soft caramel chews. These shops are perfect for finding those last-minute, unique holiday gifts. And let's talk about the food! Making s'mores over a fire pit was such a cozy activity. They provide everything – marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate, and those perfect wooden skewers. While my braces made eating them a bit tricky, just roasting the marshmallows was fun! Afterwards, we warmed up with delicious hot chocolate and hot apple cider from the food trucks. Don't skip the cinnamon sugar pretzels – they're a sweet treat that really hits the spot. There are often other vendors too, so come hungry! For a smooth visit, here are a few tips: Best Time to Go: Weeknights, especially earlier in December, tend to be less crowded. We went on a less busy night, and it made the experience so much more relaxing. Dress Warm: Even if you're mostly in your car, you'll want to be cozy for the s'mores station and gift shops. Bring Snacks/Drinks: While there are vendors, having your own thermos of cocoa or some car snacks can enhance the drive-through. Camera Ready: You'll want to capture the magic, especially inside the tunnels and near the more intricate displays. Directions: Tanglewood Park is easily accessible from Winston-Salem or Clemmons, NC. Just follow signs for the Festival of Lights. Check their official website for updated operating hours and ticket information before you head out. Overall, the Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights is a truly enchanting experience, perfect for families, couples, or a fun night out with friends. It's more than just driving through lights; it's a whole festive evening out! Hope this helps you plan your own magical visit!
