My Romance Inspired by Lady Catherine x Mr Collins
I keep saying that my newest book, THE SEDUCTION OF MR ALFRED SAINTSBURY, has Lady Catherine x Mr. Collins vibes…and so I thought I would explain a bit what I mean by that 😂😂. To be clear, this book is NOT Jane Austen fanfic (okay, it is not Jane Austen fanfic anymore than your usual historical romance), but it does take heavy inspiration from Lady Catherine de Bourgh’s position of power in Pride and Prejudice.
Basically, this book asks the question: what if Lady Catherine and Mr. Collins were both young and hot and way too attracted to each other?? What would happen THEN?? The book also answers this question and the answer is — a lot of s*x.
That said, Alfred is mostly not Mr. Collins at all, except for the fact that he is a vicar, he is sort of Annabelle’s employee, and he is OBSESSED with her from the jump. And Annabelle is mostly not Lady Catherine, except for the fact that she inherits and owns a giant estate outright and she has a ton of power over Alfred. What could possibly go right??? So, so much, as it turns out.
