3 tips for building muscle ✨

After a lot of trial and error, here are my biggest takeaways:

1. Follow a structured plan.

Stick to a consistent routine and make small adjustments over time so you can continue progressing and applying progressive overload.

2. Eat enough.

If you’ve been in a calorie deficit for a long time, building muscle will be much harder. Spending time at maintenance or in a slight surplus can make a huge difference.

3. Don’t overdo cardio.

Cardio has its place, but too much can make it harder to recover and give your glute workouts the effort they need. Prioritize your energy for your lifts if muscle growth is your goal.

... Read moreFrom my personal fitness journey, I've found that following a structured plan is truly the foundation for consistent muscle growth. It’s not just about hitting the gym but committing to progressive overload—gradually increasing the weights or resistance to challenge your muscles each session. Regarding nutrition, many underestimate how crucial eating enough is. If you stay in a calorie deficit too long, muscle gains will stall. I experienced this firsthand until I adjusted my diet to maintain a slight calorie surplus, which significantly improved my muscle recovery and size. Also, managing cardio is key. While cardio benefits heart health, too much can hinder recovery and reduce the energy available for strength training. In particular, I noticed that excessive climbing on the ClimbMill negatively impacted my leg and glute workouts. So I recommend prioritizing your strength sessions and limiting high-intensity cardio to avoid burnout. Incorporating these tips along with patience and consistency has transformed my muscle-building journey. For anyone looking to boost their glute gains or overall muscle mass, balancing these aspects makes a noticeable difference in progress and results.
