The night I finally won 🥇
My journey through UK Calendar Girls wasn’t easy, wasn’t simple. It was a two-year process of me pushing for more.
The first year, I poured my whole heart into it — travelling across the country, showing up to every single event, raising money for charity, and doing everything I possibly could to prove I belonged there.
When the lineup was announced, I didn’t hear my name… until the very end. I was given an honorary reserve position. I smiled and clapped, pretending not to feel the lump in my throat — but deep down, I knew I wanted more. I knew I was capable of more.
So I tried again.
Another year of grafting, growing, learning how to carry myself with more confidence, and refusing to let that first result define me. And finally — I won.
Standing in that lineup again, I had so many doubts. The memories of the last year came flooding back — all the “what ifs” and “not agains.” But this time, I didn’t let them stop me.
Winning wasn’t just about being in a calendar. It was about proving to myself that hard work, self-belief, and persistence really do pay off.
So if you’ve ever felt like you weren’t enough, or like your time will never come — keep showing up. It’s always worth it in the end. 🌹
