For the girlies who are OVER dressing (the way they have been) 👛💫 it’s time for a change
If you’ve been feeling over your wardrobe, like nothing in your closet excites you, or if getting dressed looks like choosing which sweats to put on, you aren’t alone.
I’m there too.
So I’m starting a new style series (and built in accountability!) for my journey to love my closet and feel confident in whatever style feels like irrevocably mine. I’ll be experimenting, thrifting, going outside my comfort zone, and honestly probably crying a little.
Welcome to overdressed 💗
Embarking on a style refresh can be both exciting and daunting, especially when you feel disconnected from your current wardrobe. I realized that constantly following trends without settling on what truly suits me left me feeling lost and uninspired. Through this style series, my goal is to reconnect with what makes me feel authentic and comfortable, while still allowing room to step outside my comfort zone. One key aspect I’ve discovered is the power of thrifting — not only does it provide unique pieces that reflect individuality, but it also adds a sense of adventure and sustainability to the process. Experimenting with different textures, colors, and vintage finds challenges me to mix and match in unexpected ways, sparking creativity and excitement. This journey is also about accountability and embracing vulnerability, acknowledging those moments of doubt or frustration when an outfit just doesn’t feel 'right.' Yet, these challenges help clarify what resonates and what doesn’t, pushing me closer to uncovering a style that feels irrevocably mine. If you've ever felt like your wardrobe no longer excites you or that picking out clothes has become a routine chore, know that you’re not alone. Life changes, daily routines, and evolving identities can all impact our sense of style — and it’s perfectly okay to take time to explore and redefine yourself through fashion. Welcome to 'overdressed,' a space where we accept the messy, emotional, and rewarding process of loving our closets again.
