Why you always write like you’re running out of ⏳

1/27 Edited to

... Read moreHave you ever noticed how time seems to slip away faster when you have an essay due or a writing deadline looming? I definitely have. This sensation is often compared to the frantic energy seen in the musical Hamilton, where urgency and passion collide. When I write under a tight deadline, I transform into a focused but stressed version of myself, much like the OCR phrase describes: "who I turn into when I need to write an essay and the time is running out." One trick I've found helpful is breaking down the essay into manageable chunks before I start. This reduces that overwhelming feeling and helps keep my thoughts organized even under pressure. Another insight is embracing the initial rush but intentionally slowing down for the revision process—this way, the 'running out of time' vibe doesn't have to compromise quality. Also, relating to communities like #Hamilton fans has made me realize that creativity thrives even under deadlines. The passion behind Hamilton’s storytelling proves that time constraints can sometimes fuel creativity rather than hinder it. So next time you feel the clock ticking, remember it’s okay to write with urgency—just don’t let it steal your voice or your story.

🌸 When I can’t say it out loud, I write it down.
Some days feel too heavy to carry, so I reach for my index cards, my favorite pens, and a handful of stickers. I don’t always have the answers—but I have words. Words that remind me I’ve survived worse. Words that whisper, “You’re still here.” This little card was written on one of those hard da

why you always reach for your phone
You’re not lazy. Your brain has been conditioned to escape every moment of silence. The second life gets uncomfortable, you scroll. The second work gets hard, you distract yourself. The second you’re alone, you look for stimulation. And while you keep escaping, your attention gets weaker

Why as an A+ student I hand write my notes
I have tried taking my notes on my computer and ipad and I really don't think anything is as helpful for me as writing everything by hand with pen and paper. The biggest thing is distractions. I noticed this the most when I tried to take notes oin my computer. It was really bad. I was so ea

A lot of neurodivergent people write in ways that AI detectors mistakenly flag.
So for example, we can write in ways that are highly structured, pattern-based, very precise, info-dense, or “overly polished” from years of masking, scripting, academia, or overexplaining for clarity. My patients are being flagged at work and at school. So, serious question: how many of us
