Iran's chief negotiator and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf vowed Monday that Tehran will overcome the U.S. naval restrictions on Iranian ports through
"comprehensive planning," posting on Telegram: "We are not going to either just engage in conflict or just negotiate — we will do both at our own time and pace." Ghalibaf described the maritime restrictions as a "war crime and part of the enemy's conspiracy."
President Trump separately confirmed the restrictions would remain "in full force" until a final peace agreement is reached.
Iran has halted message exchanges with Washington through Pakistani mediators and is moving to fully restrict the Strait of Hormuz in response to ongoing ceasefire breaches, according to Iranian state media.
