I love that she never fit a mold she created one. So unique and interesting you couldnt take your eyes off her. She stole every scene and created fashion trends and inspired hair styles around the world. She fascinated people on and off screen. And there was a Dove chocolate commercial they simulated her in that was amazing in the early 2000's and a GAP commercial they used her dance scene in Paris from the movie Funny Face. She was wearing pants in Paris which was illegal at the time. She was given permission by the Parisian government to wear them as long as she didnt go outside. Actually women were legally forbidden to wear pants in Paris France from early 1800’s until they made pants a legal right for women in 2013. The last photo is the Dove chocolate commercial. Photos 8&9 are what GAP used in their ad and she made those pants a hot fashion item. They sold out everywhere and on the Dick Van Dyke show around the same time period. Mary Tyler Moore who played Dick Van Dykes wife Laura wore them on the show. So because Mary Tyler Moore had a cute hip hair do like Audrey both brunette and intelligent women started to emulate them. Not bad role models to fashion yourself after! But women before Mary Tyler Moore had never worn anything other than a dress and pearls on a TV show.
