奈良と京都の春は、桜の美しさだけでなく、その地域ならではの季節限定の桜フードも大きな楽しみの一つです。特に、奈良の高見の郷では、桜の景色と共に「桜にゅう麺」や「桜たい焼き」など桜をテーマにした多彩なメニューを味わえ、外の開放感も相まって格別な体験となります。 また、宇陀にあるカフェ sora では、店内に点在する40体以上の動物オブジェがユニークな空間をつくり出していて、その多彩な動物アートには制作者であるオーナーのお父様から直接話を聞ける貴重な機会も。特に「白馬のオブジェに乗っていい」と言われ、実際に乗って記念写真を撮れたのは思い出となりました。 又兵衛桜周辺では、樹齢約300年の桜の下で提供される草餅が非常に印象的でした。今回の訪問で食べた草餅の中でも特に美味しく、甘さとモチモチ感のバランスが絶妙で、地元の味をしっかりと味わえました。こうした伝統的な和菓子が桜の景色と調和し、主役としての存在感を放っています。 京都・RAUの「桜の丘」ケーキは、桜を味ではなく見た目の景色美として表現した斬新な芸術的スイーツで、見る人を驚かせます。夜の清水寺の桜ライトアップは派手さは控えめながらも、静謐で神秘的な雰囲気が漂い、ずっと見ていても飽きない魅力がありました。 私自身、春の奈良と京都を訪れて、桜の美しさだけでなく、それぞれの地域が持つ独自の桜フードや文化を感じられたことが何より嬉しい発見でした。花見で訪れる方には、ただ桜を見るだけではなく、地元の味を楽しみながら、そこでしか体験できない人との出会いや会話も楽しんでほしいです。こうした体験がまた来年の春の訪れを待ち遠しくさせてくれるのだと思います。ぜひこれらのスポットと桜フードを巡って、春の旅を満喫してください。
