Part 3

So here I’m like trying to reassure her that we don’t hate her(we didn’t love her either)but we are concerned for her which we were. Like I said previously Carl had done dishes, mop, broom, trash, taking care of baby like putting him to sleep and feeding him and attending him while he did dishes. I bought a car a while ago for my mom to use for her baking business like getting supplies and getting to her appointment for medical. My sister got into a car accident where the entire (dad car)car flipped and was sent to the hospital. My dad usually buys junk cars and after that accident we were down to 2 cars my car and my dad truck but he took the truck to work . My car/mom car was the only one available, carl when he moved out he had no car or no credit. Everyone used my car for their needs. Carl took Kelly to the doctors and grocery shopping or just shopping.

I remember accompanying my mom to the bus station because Carl had used my car to take Kelly to the mall(she refused to go in bus because it gave her anxiety) my mom 55 years old going in bus with so much body pains and just tired of the heavy week of work taking the bus. I called Carl that day to explain for doctor or food only.

He got upset and said “okay I won’t ask for any more favors then because it seems like I’m disturbing you guys too much” this was so out of pocket for him to say, he’s never said anything like that to my mom. My mom called him back and said sorry call us when you need the car anytime.

In this article, we delve into the shared responsibilities that family members undertake and how these can lead to misunderstandings if not communicated effectively. For instance, when one family member relies on another for transportation, it can create feelings of dependence or resentment. There’s an emotional weight that accompanies familial roles, especially in challenging scenarios like dealing with accidents or health issues. It’s essential to foster open dialogues about expectations and boundaries to ensure mutual understanding. Setting priorities is another vital aspect; it helps to clarify who can take on what role without overburdening anyone in the family. For healthier family interactions, fostering an atmosphere of acknowledgment where every member's struggles are validated can lead to better cooperation and empathy. By recognizing and adapting to each other’s emotional states, families can build stronger, more resilient bonds. Always remember, the underlying principle of a supportive family lies in clear communication, understanding each other’s needs, and being a source of strength during tough times.
