The height is not there to stop you…👇
it is there to show you what you can become.
1️⃣ When the bar looks intimidating
Focus on your approach, not your fear. One strong step at a time.
2️⃣ When you leave the ground
Commit fully. You can’t clear new heights with half confidence.
3️⃣ When you miss an attempt
Learn fast, reset faster, and come back braver.
That’s the difference.
Trust the run-up.
Attack the jump.
Keep rising.

When I first started high jumping, I often felt overwhelmed by the bar looking so intimidating. But what helped me most was learning to focus on my own approach rather than the fear of failure. Each step in the run-up became a way to build confidence and prepare mentally for the jump rather than worrying about the height itself. Committing fully once leaving the ground truly changed my performance. Half-hearted attempts rarely clear new personal bests. I realized that trusting in my training and giving my jump everything, no matter how high the bar, was key to improvement. Missing an attempt used to discourage me deeply. However, viewing each miss as an opportunity to learn and reset fast made me come back stronger and braver each time. One piece of advice I always keep in mind is that growth happens through challenges, and the height is not an obstacle but your chance to become better. The phrase I love to repeat to myself is: "It's you, it's your opportunity to grow..." This mindset helped me push beyond my limits, achieving new heights every time I ran down the track. If you’re passionate about running or high jump, try embracing each part of the process—from the initial approach to the jump itself—as a moment to build trust and self-belief. Remember, the height shows you what you can become, not what you can't. Keep running, keep jumping, and keep rising above your limits.
