BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING as a broke college student 🛍️

i’m honestly so proud of myself for not spending more money, but truthfully black friday is not what it used to be, what happened to 50% off and up sales? idk what stores need to hear this but 30% off is not a black friday sale!! we’ve lost the magic of black friday :(

but im also broke so I wouldn’t have been able to shop either way 😗

happy black friday to all that celebrate!!

... Read moreBlack Friday has become a critical shopping event for many, but for college students on a tight budget, it can be overwhelming. While it once promised significant discounts, many retailers now offer less compelling sales, leading to online conversations about the fading charm of these deals. College students must leverage strategies to optimize their shopping experience, such as creating a strict budget and making a wish list beforehand. It's also beneficial to research store promotions in advance and subscribe to newsletters for exclusive offers. Another idea is to share the shopping experience with friends, allowing for splitting costs and accessing bulk buy discounts. Moreover, utilizing cash back apps and browser extensions can help students save more. Engaging with social media platforms can keep you updated with time-sensitive offers or flash sales on your favorite brands. Lastly, remember to enjoy the process and celebrate smart shopping choices that fit within your financial goals. Adapt your shopping mentality to focus not just on deals but also on personal value and necessity, ensuring that every purchase contributes positively to your lifestyle.

As someone who did no Black Friday shopping either I agree, the sales weren’t that good and it’s annoying how most of the time it’s just low grade electronics super cheap. I didn’t need anything and am making 90% of my gifts, because I think it is becoming far too wasteful to just gift random stuff.
