My slump routine as a college student

Acknowledge the Slump

Not every season is about pushing forward. Sometimes, you hit a wall, mentally, emotionally, or just energetically, and that’s okay.

Instead of fighting it, I’ve been learning to recognize it for what it is: a signal to slow down. You don’t have to fix it right away. Sometimes you just need to sit in it for a moment and breathe.

Be the Slump

There’s this pressure to always be productive or “getting back on track,” but I think there’s beauty in allowing yourself to just be.

Stay in your sweatshirt. Watch the show you’ve already seen five times. Let yourself rest without guilt. This is the recharge period no one glamorizes.

Gentle Things That Help Me Feel Better

When I’m ready to feel human again, I turn to low-effort comforts:

🍰 Baking something warm

📖 Reading without forcing myself to finish

🐾 Spending time with my dog

🚶‍♀️ Taking slow long walks

Not every slump needs a “comeback.” Sometimes it’s just a reminder that you’re human and you’re allowed to pause. 🤍
