... Read moreOkay, so we've all been there – Sunday rolls around, and the thought of a full-blown 'reset' feels like an Olympic sport, especially when you're feeling a bit lazy. But trust me, a 3-hour Sunday reset is totally doable and can make a massive difference for your week ahead, even if you start slow. For me, the absolute game-changer is turning my wash day into a luxurious, self-care ritual within that reset. It’s not just about clean hair; it’s about feeling utterly refreshed and ready. My go-to strategy for a 'lazy' wash day during my Sunday reset starts even before I hop in the shower. I usually do a quick pre-poo treatment – sometimes just a bit of coconut or argan oil massaged into my scalp and ends for about 20-30 minutes. This really helps protect my hair from the shampoo and adds an extra layer of nourishment. It’s the perfect time to scroll on my phone or tidy up a small area, making the most of that 'waiting' time. Then comes the actual wash. I focus on a thorough scalp cleanse, using a gentle shampoo, making sure to rinse really well. But the star of the show? My hair mask! This is where the magic happens and where I really lean into the self-care vibe. I'll apply a hydrating or strengthening hair mask generously from mid-lengths to ends, making sure every strand is coated. While the mask works its wonders (usually 5-10 minutes, or longer if I’m feeling extra indulgent and use that time for a face mask too!), I use this opportunity to tackle a few other quick reset tasks. Maybe I'll wipe down the bathroom counters with an *ALL PUR*pose cleaner, or quickly declutter my bedside table. This way, I’m getting multiple things done simultaneously without feeling overwhelmed. After rinsing out the mask, my hair feels incredibly soft, shiny, and ready for the week. It’s not just about the physical cleanliness; there’s a huge mental boost that comes with having fresh, styled hair. This focused wash day, including the hair mask, usually takes up about an hour of my 3-hour reset. The remaining time is for those small, impactful tasks that set me up for success: planning meals, organizing my work bag, or just enjoying a quiet cup of tea. It proves that even on a lazy Sunday, dedicating a few hours to yourself and your space, especially incorporating a proper wash day and hair mask, can transform your entire outlook and energy for the upcoming week!
