How I became a Canva Education Content Creator
Do you love Canva? Have you ever wondered how you get to be one of the creators who publishes templates to the Canva Library?
1. Search “Canva Education Content Creator” and sign up!
2. You must be a certified educator to apply and be selected.
3. I had to create several templates as apart of my application to be assessed for quality. These must be 100% original, and can’t be based on or copied from any other design.
4. It took a while to hear back. It is a beta program, so the numbers are small. But I am glad I waited! I love being a Canva Creator!
5. If you are accepted, you get paid per download on your templates that are approved to the Canva Library. All education templates in the library go through a strict review and are created by REAL TEACHERS, so you can trust they are good!
Becoming a Canva Education Content Creator is a unique opportunity for certified educators to share their creativity while earning income. Canva’s program specifically targets real teachers to ensure educational templates are both authentic and high quality. Beyond the initial application, which includes submitting original template designs, aspiring creators should be prepared for a selective review process since the program is currently in beta with limited spots. Quality and originality are crucial: Canva's strict guidelines require templates to be 100% original and not copied from existing designs. This ensures each educator’s work stands out and provides genuine value to users searching the Canva Library for trusted educational resources. For many educators, this opportunity has become a flexible side hustle that leverages their teaching expertise and creativity. Accepted creators earn money based on how many times their templates are downloaded, offering an ongoing passive income stream. To maximize earnings, it helps to keep up with current trends in education and design, and continually produce fresh, relevant templates that resonate with teachers and students alike. Additionally, networking within the Canva creator community and engaging with user feedback can help refine future templates. For educators passionate about combining teaching and design, this platform offers a rewarding blend of both. Remember, patience is key during the application process, as the selective beta program has a smaller acceptance rate. Joining the Canva Education Content Creator program is not just about earning money—it’s about contributing valuable educational tools to a global community, helping fellow teachers save time and enhance learning experiences through well-crafted templates.
