Romeo and Juliet… it tends to be a tragedy, but for this couple they challenged those odds. Before I get down the review I just have to say this book was a whirlwind of emotions. Honestly this story had a chokehold on me. ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ari has grown up with her group of friends: Cameron (her bff), Brady, chase (her first crush), and mason (her twin brother). It has always just been them, and with college coming soon they want to continue their bond. Their parents give them all their vacation home to use, and they live up their last summer before college football and studies come in full effect.
Along the way Ari hooks up with chase, who afterward calls it a mistake and crushes her spirit. This causes her to leave early and not go out for majority of her first semester. Until she runs into a boy she had met on the beach that summer, captain of the football team at their new school and a complete gentleman, Noah.
Noah is 10/10 perfection. He waits for her to get over chase and helps her build herself back up. Then when she’s ready, he becomes everything she needs. There’s still tension because chase now wants what he can’t have causing a huge amount of drama. We learn about noah’s mom and her struggles and we also have scares with mason and Ari in this book. I can’t give too much away but if you want a love story that makes you freak out and cry at the same time this is the book for you. I haven’t had a book leave such a big effect on me in a long time so this is by far my favorite read of this year so far and it will 100% be a hard one to beat!!!
