OK!! Are you watching white lotus right now because the three girls on the girl group remind me of the three girls in this book. They all are fake and act different around each other all hiding parts of themselves and their life.
Honestly the group is identical to the white lotus group, there’s jealousy, cheating, lies, and gaslighting to the extreme.
Jocelyn invites her two best friends, Rowan and Cadence, on her bach party getaway to North Wales. But these 3 friends have tension - and secrets. Rowan has a bad habit no one knows about. Cadence has unresolved bitterness towards Jocelyn. And Jocelyn still grieves the loss of her twin brother
- and might blame other for his tragic accident.
Only adding to the tension, the friends run into some mysterious guests at the BNB that seem to have a weird obsession with the girls.
As the trip goes on, things begin to unravel in the worst way.
Secrets never stay buried.
This was a really fun read! I liked the creepy forrest/ secluded setting. I also liked how we got to gradually find out more and more dark secrets each of the three main characters had. It seemed like a new twist or secret was revealed every chapter, which kept it exciting!
As much as I like alternating POVs, in this book I found it hard to remember whose POV I was reading due to little differentiation between the character's voices, so it got confusing at times.
In the end, I also felt like there were TOO many twists, and some did not really relate to the others - so they felt just kind of random.
