🩵 Idaho’s Hidden Gem—But Make It Real 🩵
Woke up tired from Jackson Hole the night before 😮💨 but still managed to pull it together for a late start, one chaotic Walmart run, and a 3-hour road trip… all to finally check this off my bucket list 💧
First stop: the eeriest gas station I’ve ever been to. Picture this—Garden of Eden theme, touchscreen-only food ordering, a whole fake snake in a tree 😭 and a single warm Cinnabon + orange soda to survive the weird vibes 🍊
But we made it to the river by 2pm and I rented my board… because yes, I just learned how to paddle board 2 days ago for this. My very first time EVER out on open water and somehow I absolutely slayed 😭👏🏼 Like… did I almost fall in? Yup. Did I recover without losing my paddle? Also yes. 💅🏼
The water was Florida-clear, the sun was out, the wind was windin’, and I had on my waterproof phone case ready for whatever 😂 Someone even asked if Blue Heart Springs was part of the Snake River and I was like sir do I look like a local??? Apparently yes 💀
We paddled about 1.5 miles each way (my arms = noodles) but it was so worth it. Crystal blue, chilly, kinda hidden but also very popular for a reason. I didn’t swim long—just laid back on the board and soaked up the Idaho girl energy 🌞🩵
AND YES—if you’re wondering—we ended the day at some gorgeous hot springs 👀 (stay tuned for the next post, it’s unreal)
