What’s a gross thing most people do?

Let’s be real. Everyone has at least one nasty habit, but no one wants to talk about it. Here are a few things that most people secretly do but would never admit to:

1️⃣ Using the same towel for way too long 🛁

At some point, it stops drying you and just spreads the moisture from yesterday. But we still use it because laundry is effort.

2️⃣ Picking your nose when no one is around 🤧

You could grab a tissue, but nope. You go full excavation mode, then look around like you just committed a crime.

3️⃣ Smelling your armpits to “check” 🤨

You know you stink, but you sniff just to confirm. And sometimes, you do it more than once.

4️⃣ Not washing your hands when home alone 🚰

If no one is there to judge, did it even happen?

5️⃣ Wearing the same socks for multiple days 🧦

If they do not smell bad enough, they get another round.

6️⃣ Biting your nails and occasionally… eating it? 🤢

Not proud of it, but you know someone does this.

7️⃣ Checking your own breath by cupping your hands 😬

Why do we always hope it smells better than it actually does?

The truth is, we all do at least one of these things, but we will take it to the grave before admitting it in public. What is the gross habit you suspect everyone does but no one talks about?

... Read moreIt's wild, isn't it? We walk around thinking we're the only ones with these quirky, slightly-gross habits, but the truth is, most of us are in the same boat! The original list barely scratches the surface of the "gross things most people do but no one will admit to it." I mean, who hasn't been there, right? Beyond the well-worn towel and the sneaky nose pick, there's a whole world of unadmitted behaviors. For example, how many of us have eaten something that fell on the floor, following the "five-second rule" (or even the ten-second rule, let's be honest)? Or maybe you've re-worn clothes that aren't quite dirty enough for the laundry basket, giving them the sniff test before deciding. It's all about that internal debate: 'Is it really that bad if no one sees?' The answer is usually 'no,' and we proceed with our secret transgressions. Another one I've definitely been guilty of? Not cleaning out the lint trap in the dryer every single time. Or realizing you've used the same water glass for three days straight because 'it's just water!' And let's not even start on the times we've used our shirt sleeve as a napkin when a real one was nowhere in sight. These aren't exactly high-brow habits, but they're undeniably convenient when we're at home and thinking no one's watching. I think a big part of why we keep these 'gross habits' under wraps is the fear of judgment. We want to present our best, most polished selves to the world. Admitting you sometimes bite your nails and then... well, you know... isn't exactly prime dinner party conversation. But isn't there also a strange comfort in knowing that these little imperfections are what make us human? It's like a secret handshake among humanity – we all understand, even if we don't say it out loud. This is why platforms like Lemon8 Q&A and community discussions are so great. They give us a safe space to engage in a little 'Let's chat' session about these unglamorous realities. It’s a moment of collective sigh-of-relief when you read someone else confessing to something you thought only you did. It creates a sense of connection, reminding us that behind every perfectly curated social media feed, there's a person who probably also sniffs their armpits or reuses their socks for "just one more day." So, what other secret "gross things most people do" have you observed or, dare I say, participated in? Don't be shy; we're all friends here!

The wrong question to be asking more experienced lifters or people with nice physiques is “What is your workout routine?” Or “What do you do on leg/arm/back/(whatever) days?” This is because you will be met with a lot of redundancy. Most people actually do the same exact handful of “basic” worko

An open drawer is filled with various individually wrapped sanitary pads, predominantly in teal and pink packaging. Overlaid text discusses a friend being judged for using a pad in a public bathroom.
Various personal care items, including wipes and small pouches, are scattered on a patterned blanket. Overlaid text explains reasons why some individuals use pads, stating they are clean, comfortable, and fine.
Do people still judge pad users?
This literally made my skin crawl. So my friend texts me from a public bathroom like, WHILE she’s in the stall and tells me that the girl next to her just whispered, “She still wears pads?? That’s so gross.” Like… huh??? Are we seriously still doing that in 2025? Why are we acting like the
