Is this a red flag?
My boyfriend is moving into my apartment rent-free. I asked if he could cover a bit more of the groceries since he’s not paying rent… and he said no.
Now I’ve got the ick. Am I overreacting, or is it fair to expect him to contribute more when he’s living here for free?

so glad you brought this up! as a 911 dispatcher we get calls from situations that began like this and they get so mad when we say the cops can't help! listen up y'all. if you invite your bf, gf, friend, what have you, into your home. and they stay 90 days or more (for Illinois. could be more or LESS in your state) they are legally a resident. even if they aren't on the lease or mortgage and cannot be removed later. and it is a PAINSTAKING process through court to get them removed. and the entire time, they can still stay with you. and if you lock them out, they can Sue YOU! So please! look at people's finances, not their heart when it comes to moving in together. because after a certain amount of time, no, the cops cannot remove them from your residence. in your case girl, do not let him in. no money, no keys. that is a man expecting to be treated like a mom does her child.
