I've been away from reading literature or fiction for a long time since I started college, and studying and activities aren't so busy, but I have a feeling of not wanting to do anything else, not wanting to pick up a book, just lying down and watching a series.

One day, while I was walking in Mr. Int's shop, I was going to look for textbooks, but I stopped at the literary section, which was as if I were used to it. My eyes stumbled into "The Vegetarian," a book that I had seen a review in Tikis or Lemon8, and I picked it up, and I flipped it over, and I read the words in the back. These sentences made me feel that the book was quite profound, probably based on a lot of interpretation, but it didn't attract me enough. I finally put it back on the shelf and walked out.

Even later, I thought about how I felt about my beloved hobby about three or four months ago. These memories came up after I stepped into Mr. Indra's store. Old pictures flowed back, whether it was standing in the middle of a literary category, translating into hours of excitement about books that had to be bought and rushed home to read, or sleep deprivation just to know how the story was going.

Finding a fun and relaxing volume of literature or fiction after months of abstinence was not easy. I chose and chose another, switching the application window between the review page and the order page and getting dizzy. I finally found a review clip where the owner of the channel mentioned "The Vegetarian," the one I had left behind.

A girl named Yong Hye suddenly stopped eating meat because of a dream that changed her lifestyle forever.

This spread made me wonder why a dream made her stop eating meat, and what this change meant, I felt it wasn't just about giving up meat, it had to be something deeper...

So curiosity pushed me to take it up and read it to fix boredom and find the answer along the way.

The Vegetarian is an interpretive literature that, although I am not well-seasoned, can sense the depth of writing. Many moments make me really goosebumps, which in this story speaks about torture, violence, sex, and reflects family problems with male society in Korea through the two main female characters, Yong Hye and her sisters, who are both oppressed and exploited physically and mentally.

The story runs quite quickly, it ends quickly, but it takes a lot of concentration and interpretation, which anyone who likes psychological and social literature should be very involved in.

The price in the Orange 200 + app is very rewarding. It's not just a stress-relieving job, it's a questioning task for yourself and society around you. After reading it, the book leaves some pictures in its head. That's its charm.
