Sunflower and garbage becomes book

This took so long and I had to workshop some stuff but! I did it. Was it worth it? yes, but only cause I had so much fun doing it. #crafts #upcycling #recycled #papercraft #bookbinding

2024/12/17 Edited to

Upcycling is an innovative method that not only reduces waste but also promotes sustainability through creativity. The art of turning everyday materials into functional pieces, such as a handcrafted book, encourages individuals to think outside the box and find beauty in the mundane. Beginners interested in crafts can start their journey by exploring basic techniques of papercraft and bookbinding. Upcycled projects can vary greatly, from simple decorations to more complex items like journals or sketchbooks. Engaging in such activities not only gives new life to discarded items but also provides a therapeutic outlet for self-expression. Furthermore, participating in online craft communities, like those focused on recycled crafts, can provide inspiration and support.

A close-up of blue handwritten text on white lined paper, stating: 'I no longer tolerate chaos, confusion, or disrespect because my nervous system deserves safety and my soul deserves peace.' A small heart symbol follows the text.

Stop tolerating GARBAGE 🤍

I know what I deserve and you should too. Take control on what you tolerate like your life depends on it. Because it DOES. If something or someone brings chaos, confusion or disrespect to your life, leave it behind. Don’t second guess yourself. And you should never feel guilty for wanting peace. 🤍

A person's hand adds a disposable cup to a white trash can already overflowing with paper waste, visually demonstrating "Garbage Stacking (aka Trash Jenga)" as balancing waste on a full can.

A hand holds a rotten banana over a black trash bag overflowing with a precarious stack of garbage, including a pizza box and cans, illustrating the "architectural choice" of Garbage Stacking.

Garbage Stacking (aka Trash Jenga)

WHAT IT IS: Trash Stacking (aka Garbage Jenga) is the high-stakes leisurly pursuit of seeing how much waste you can balance on top of a full trash can without technically “taking it out.” It’s a hobby of precision, denial, and deeply unhealthy boundaries. Anyone can throw something away. But it t

I feel like SHEIN quality is very hit or miss. 😭 Some pieces look cute online, but when they arrive it’s like… paper thin, weird fabric, or totally not what I expected. Yes, it’s cheap, but sometimes it feels like I’m wasting money because the clothes don’t last at all. What’s your experie
