... Read moreHey everyone! So thrilled you're diving into August bucket list ideas with me! Building on my own journey of growth and healthy habits, I wanted to share even more ways we can all make this month unforgettable. It's truly amazing how having a list of intentions can keep us focused and excited, isn't it?
First, let's talk about personal growth and well-being, which is always at the top of my list. Beyond just getting up earlier and drinking more water, I'm really pushing to hit my nutrition goals this August. What does that look like for me? It means trying out some new healthy recipes I've pinned, maybe doing a bit more meal prepping on Sundays, and consciously choosing whole foods. It's not about perfection, but consistently making better choices! And speaking of consistency, if you're like me and aiming to workout everyday or train for a 5k, remember to make it fun! I've been exploring new hiking trails (especially excited for a Hike in TN later this month!) and finding workout buddies to keep me accountable. Sometimes, just putting on your favorite playlist is enough to get moving.
Another huge goal for me is to finish my current read. There's nothing quite like getting lost in a good book, especially on a lazy afternoon. I'm trying to set aside 15-20 minutes each day, maybe with my morning coffee or before bed, to truly immerse myself. What's on your reading list for August?
Now for the fun stuff – embracing the last bits of summer! My calendar is already filling up with plans. I'm super excited to go to the state fair – nothing beats the atmosphere, the food, and those quirky attractions, right? If you're looking for something a bit different, keep an eye out for unique local events. I heard about a popcorn festival nearby, and how cool would it be to check out a jeep invasion if that's your thing?
One of my absolute favorite summer activities is finding beauty in nature. I'm definitely planning to visit a sunflower patch this month. The vibrant yellow fields are just breathtaking and make for the prettiest photos! And for those with a green thumb, or even aspiring ones like me, have you ever considered growing something unique? I'm attempting to grow a luffa gourd this year – fingers crossed it works out! Homegrown anything just tastes better.
Beyond these, August is also perfect for some classic summer send-offs. Think about hosting a backyard BBQ with friends, having an outdoor movie night under the stars, or even trying your hand at canning some fresh summer produce like tomatoes or berries. It’s a wonderful way to savor the season’s bounty.
What are your big plans and small joys for August? Share your bucket list items below – I'm always looking for new inspiration to make the most of each day!
