Please be prepared to answer questions about your experience with training, working dogs and high drive/energy breeds. I will have questions about your goals for yourself and Pantera both short and long term. Please have a list of references (personal, training and veterinary). Though preference will be given to experienced handlers, green handlers are always welcome to apply.
Please lead with this information when reaching out, followed by any additional questions you have for us.
We will be going through inquiries and reaching back out to everyone. Placement will be based on what is the best fit for Pantera, not first come first serve.
About Pantera:
Pantera is an extremely sweet, happy, and social (dog and human) female ready to find her person.
Pantera is inquisitive, and enjoys being able to explore new environments with her person.
Her food drive is excellent, and she prefers to work for food and praise rewards vs toy rewards.
She’s ever ready to put her nose to work but could benefit from structuring that skill.
She will play tug with her reward toy but toys always come second to a snack or high praise.
(Toy value will likely improve with time, patience, and structure)
Pantera is clean in her crate, non destructive in her kennel run outdoors and LOVES to load up and get on the road- be it to the local square, hardware store or a nice trail hike to explore. She’s got a great appetite at home or while traveling and doesn’t sweat it when life situations change. She rolls with what’s thrown at her and stays just as happy as ever.
If encouraged/asked to, Pantera has the tiny beginnings of an alert bark geared at suspicious/unknown others.
Pantera has thus far proven safe and appropriate around children of varying ages. She would do best in a 1-2 dog household where she could bond with her handler easily.
I believe she would thrive in many active avenues but at this time is not being listed as a bite sport candidate.
As with all of our puppies, Pantera is eligible for the “Good Noodle Incentive”.
$500 of every puppy fee remains in a savings account for the life of the dog, refundable to any puppy/dog that achieves a title in protection sports, or certification in a working field (SAR, HRD, Detection, etc) no matter the time frame or age of the dog.
Photos, videos, titles and health information for her sire and dam can be seen in their respective Rolling G Kennels albums.
All of her littermates participate in PSA, FR, PPD or detection clubs/training currently.

Having had experience with high-drive working dogs, I can attest that dogs like Pantera thrive best in environments where their energy and intelligence are channeled into structured activities. The emphasis on food motivation over toys is quite common in Dutch Shepherds and similar breeds, so incorporating positive reinforcement training using treats and praise will unlock her full potential. For anyone considering adopting a dog like Pantera, be prepared to engage in regular mental and physical stimulation, including scent work, agility, or obedience challenges. These activities not only keep the dog happy and balanced but also strengthen the owner-dog bond significantly. I have found that daily exploratory walks in new environments, such as hiking trails or local parks, provide excellent enrichment and prevent boredom. Importantly, Pantera’s alert bark for unknown people suggests she could be a good watchdog with proper socialization and training to ensure appropriate behavior. Since she is good around children and prefers smaller multi-dog households, she would fit well in active families who understand the needs of working breeds. Considering the "Good Noodle Incentive"—which refunds part of the fee upon earning titles or working certifications—this is a fantastic bonus for those committed to ongoing training and achievement in sport or working dog fields like Search and Rescue or Detection. Many owners find that participating in dog sport communities offers great support and resources. Having a detailed list of personal, training, and veterinary references ensures that Pantera’s new handler is confident, experienced or eager to learn, which is crucial for success with such a driven canine partner. Patience and consistency will be key, especially in enhancing toy value through gradual, positive exposure. In summary, adopting a dog like Pantera means embracing an active, rewarding lifestyle with a devoted canine companion eager to explore, learn, and work alongside you.
