Chisme’s walk out song has been found 💪
For those wondering how Cheesy Dog is doing- I’d say she looks amazing.
We just got home from Saturday rehab at @Heliosequinerehab where Chisme & Nauti hit up the Aqua center- (Hydro Tread, TheraPlate/Solarium, Laser & Pemf)
Monday was 4 months since shattering her knee and severing connective tendons
She’s 2 months out of the external fixator and recovery casts🙏🏼🫶🏻

Recovering from a severe knee injury like Chisme’s can be a long and challenging process, especially for active working dogs such as Malinois. From my own experience with canine rehabilitation, consistency and a combination of therapies are key to regaining mobility and strength. Hydrotherapy, like the Hydro Tread, helps reduce joint stress while improving muscle tone through low-impact exercises in water. The TheraPlate (also known as vibration plate therapy) aids circulation and reduces inflammation, speeding up healing. Laser therapy and PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) treatments further support tissue repair by enhancing cellular activity and reducing pain. It’s inspiring to see Chisme’s progress just two months after removal of external fixation and recovery casts—this indicates excellent healing and adherence to her rehab program. If your dog suffers similar injuries, seek a rehabilitation center with specialized equipment and professionals who can tailor therapies suited to your dog’s needs, whether they’re working, protection, or companion dogs. Regular assessments and gradual increase in activity are essential to avoid setbacks. It’s also important to keep your dog motivated with positive reinforcement and customized exercise plans. Overall, Chisme’s story highlights the importance of comprehensive canine rehabilitation and the remarkable resilience these dogs possess with the right care and support.
