Toy Rotation
Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed by the amount of toys in your home? 🙋♀️ I definitely did—especially after having my son on top of all the toys we already had for my daughter. Suddenly, it felt like toys were taking over every corner of the house.
I felt like I was constantly cleaning, organizing, and still drowning in action figures, balls, food toys, puzzles, and everything in between.
But here’s what I found: using a simple toy rotation system with bins completely changed the game for me. 💡 Instead of keeping everything out all at once, I started organizing toys into themed bins—like a ball bin, an action figure bin, or even mixed bins that include one book, one sensory toy, one fine motor toy, and so on.
The rest stay neatly tucked away in the closet. Depending on the season of life (and let’s be real—my energy levels 😅), I rotate bins weekly or monthly. The best part? By the time toys come back out, my kids are excited to play with them again like they’re brand new. 🎉
This not only helps me feel less overwhelmed but also keeps my kids engaged, focused, and learning through play without being distracted by too many choices at once.
✨ Moms, I’d love to know—what systems or tricks have YOU found helpful to keep the toy clutter under control in your home? Drop them in the comments! 👇
