staying at Camp mai mee chue in mae rim, chiangmai was the best decision i could have made. located about an hour from the chiangmai city area, it was a stay in the mountains that was so serene and beautiful. for anyone who needs a break or detox from city life, this is really the perfect getaway.
my family booked one of the houses in the camp and just played card and building block games, ate mookata, and played with the friendly doggos instead of being hooked up to all our digital devices. it was breathtaking to watch the faraway trees and mountains dipped in sunlight, to hear animals calling instead of vehicles rumbling. to hear the sound of silence, for once. for a tired city girl, it really was a dream come true 🥹

The warm meal kept our hearts and bellies cozy as we enjoyed the crisp mountain air. Breakfasts here come as delightful full sets, providing the perfect start to your day surrounded by nature. A highlight of my stay was meeting the cutest, fluffiest doggo named Tungyok who became an instant friend. Spending time with friendly animals added an extra layer of comfort and joy to the experience. If you ever visit, don’t miss the chance to say hi! Beyond relaxation, the area around Mae Rim also offers plenty of activities if you want to venture out, from local markets to nature trails. But if you prefer disconnecting from the digital world and spending quality time with family or friends, this peaceful campsite is ideal.
