Hilton Head must eat
We visited family in the Hilton Head area and had to stop at Hudson's Seafood House On The Docks. This place is full of character with photos of fish caught, boats of the past, and other memorabilia lining the walls. The restaurant is one of the oldest on Hilton Head Island. In 1967 it was converted from a seafood processing plant. They work with local fishermen to make sure you get the freshest seafood possible.
Our family shared an array of food. We started off with some coconut shrimp, which were incredible. Just the right amount of crunch. The sauce was a nice addition. They also brought out a basket of hush puppies. These were top notch. With 4 of us we were able to eat 2 baskets. (You can see them in the 3rd photo).
For the entree I had "catch of the day" mahi mahi fish and chips, which comes served with 7 day slaw. My husband had a "catch of the day" grouper fish and chips. Not pictured my stepmom had a grouper, and my dad had swordfish. The swordfish was quite tasty as well.
For dessert we had the signature Mud Pie. It is curated with Hilton Head Island Ice Cream’s cappuccino ice cream, chocolate fudge, Oreo cookie crumb. This was large enough to share. My husband and I split it.
If you are ever in the area I highly recommend trying this place. If you have tried it please share your experiences in the comments.

I’m always looking for some good places to go to in the Hilton Head area. Good food! Just not as good as in Charleston 😉
