The Anthem of Consciousness
Consciousness in Buddhism means "all-knowing memory," knowing the body, knowing the mind, knowing the thoughts, knowing the words, and knowing the actions of the present while not accidentally following emotions, cravings, or anger.
Consciousness is so important that the Buddha called it the "first way" for suffering.
The Anthem of Consciousness
1. Prevent mistakes
Conscious people will think before speaking. Think before doing.
Therefore reduce the likelihood
Say wrong
Made a mistake.
Wrong decision
There was an accident.
Consciousness is like a doorman, checking everything before coming to mind.
---
2. Better control your emotions
When angry, consciousness says,
> "I'm angry."
When scared, the consciousness says,
> "I'm scared."
Knowing emotions makes it difficult for emotions to dominate us.
---
3. Reduce stress and distraction
Most of the suffering is caused by
Too bad the past
Worry about the future.
Consciousness will bring the mind back to the present.
Calm down.
---
4. Increased performance
When focusing on what's done,
The crash dropped.
Better memory
Higher performance
Therefore there is a saying
> "Do one thing at a time with consciousness, better than doing many things with inadvertence."
---
5. Helps to see the truth of life
When conscious of watching
Body
Thought
Emotional
You can see that everything happens, sits and goes out.
This is the beginning of wisdom.
---
6. Make concentration easy
Consciousness is a cause for concentration.
Without consciousness, the mind is distracted.
If conscious, the mind will be stable.
---
7. Prevent passion
Consciousness is like a sentry.
When
Greedy.
Angry.
Lost
Coming in.
Consciousness will know before passion dominates the mind.
---
8. Make personality calm and trustworthy
Conscious people often have traits.
Not wobbly
Speak exactly
Listen as
Answer rationally.
So create inherent credibility.
---
9. As the basis of wisdom.
Consciousness makes us see things realistically.
Not according to prejudice.
When it is clear, wisdom is born.
---
10. Leading to disengagement
In Buddhism.
Consciousness is an important component of
There are 8 gods.
POCHENK 7
Base Stipat 4
It is the foundation of extinguishment.
---
Compare "conscious" with "merciful."
Mercy. Makes the heart gentle.
Consciousness makes the heart awake.
Mercy as the sun warms
Consciousness is like a flashlight that makes you see the way.
If compassionate but unconscious, they can be exploited.
Conscious but unkind, can become cold.
When consciousness and compassion walk together, there is a balance of tenderness and sharpness.
---
The metaphor of consciousness.
Many teachers compare
> "Consciousness is the gatekeeper."
The eyes, the ears, the nose, the tongue, the heart are like the six doors.
If the doorman is asleep,
The enemy can enter.
But if the doorman is always awake,
The city is safe.
Just as consciousness protects the mind from delusion.
So the supreme nature of consciousness is not only peace or success in life, but to show us the truth of body and heart, leading to wisdom and suffering in the way that the Buddha taught.
