Phú Quốc Island – Part 1
First time visiting Phú Quốc Island, and the scale of this place genuinely surprised me.
Although it’s an island, it feels more like a self-contained destination — you’ll need a domestic flight since it’s separated from mainland Vietnam.
What stood out immediately was the architecture and atmosphere. From European-style buildings to wide open coastal views, the island feels like an up-and-coming mega attraction. Some areas are still under development, but even so, there’s already plenty to admire and explore.
One of the most memorable experiences was the world’s longest 3-rope cable car, gliding over the sea with uninterrupted views. It connects the main island to Sun World Hòn Thơm, which sits on a smaller island offshore — the journey itself is an experience.
If you’re looking for grand scenery, resort-style landscapes, and European vibes without European prices, Phú Quốc is worth keeping an eye on.
