Myles is going to be a big brother!!! 💛

Becoming a big brother is a major milestone for any child, and it's such an exciting time for the entire family. When we found out about our second baby, I took extra care to involve Myles in the process to help him feel included and important. We talked about what it means to have a new sibling and how he could be a role model and helper. Preparing a child for a new brother or sister can sometimes come with mixed emotions — from excitement to jealousy — so I found that reading books about becoming a big brother, and involving Myles in nursery preparations, really helped him adjust and look forward to the arrival. Sharing little updates, like the baby's growth and special moments during pregnancy, made the experience tangible for him. I’ve learned that celebrating these milestones with your children not only strengthens your family bond but also helps your child develop empathy and patience. The anticipation and love surrounding a pregnancy bring a unique joy and can be a beautiful journey to share with your little one as they transition into their new role. If you're expecting a new baby, I highly recommend involving your older child in the journey — it truly makes a difference!
