With so many exciting things happening in our lives, I can’t help but reflect on how lucky we are to have him here with us today
Having a micropreemie child comes with unique challenges and equally profound joys. From the moment of birth, every milestone achieved feels monumental. At 2.5 years old, toddlers born prematurely continue to amaze us with their resilience and development progress. As a mom of a micropreemie, I've learned how essential early intervention and consistent pediatric care are. Therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy often become part of daily life to support their growth and learning. Celebrating small victories—like a new word or a successful step—brings so much hope and happiness. Support networks, including other micropreemie families and online communities like #momsoftiktok, offer invaluable encouragement and shared experiences. These connections remind us we are not alone and provide tips on managing feeding, sleep routines, and developmental concerns. Every day with my toddler is a reminder to cherish his strength and the journey that brought us here. While the road has required patience and adaptation, watching him thrive and explore the world is the greatest gift. This journey is a testament to love, persistence, and hope for every micropreemie family.
