Record a book

This is my second year doing a book journal and I’m loving the aesthetic. I just finished my first read of 2025 and I recorded it in my 2 book journals!

The first book is for every book I read and my rating only. I’ll be keeping this log for years to come to see how my reading progresses over time which could be interesting

The second book is where I put all the pages that have a more bullet journal feel to them. I filled out the pages that corresponded with the book I finished.

I loved creating the pages for this journal. I kept all the pages from 2024 for the most part and some of them I changed the layout of which I like more. I only added 2 completely new pages that I didn’t have last year and I’m excited to see how it all looks as the year goes on

In 2025, recording your book journey can be even more exciting with various techniques. To begin, readers can adopt a mixed approach by utilizing both a comprehensive log and a more artistic bullet journal style, as mentioned in the content. This method not only helps track books read and ratings, but also provides a platform for creativity through personalized pages and layouts. Incorporating visually appealing designs into your journal can enhance the reading experience. Using color coding for ratings, creating themed pages for each book, and including quotes or illustrations can make your journal unique and engaging. For instance, themes could range from color palettes inspired by the books to genre-based aesthetics, making each entry a wonderful work of art. Moreover, challenges like the A-Z reading challenge can add fun and motivation to your reading goals. Creating a visual map highlighting your reading journey — perhaps using colored markers or stickers for each state you read about — can serve as a motivational tool as well. Ultimately, by setting clear reading goals and making the process enjoyable through journaling, readers are more likely to stay consistent and enjoy their reading journey throughout the year. Sharing strategies, inspiration, and layouts on platforms like BookTok can also foster a sense of community among book lovers. So grab your journals, unleash your creativity, and enjoy capturing your reading adventures in 2025!
