HOW WE SAVED $ ON OUR WEDDING

Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming experience, especially with expenses often spiraling out of control. To avoid debt and stay on budget, we made strategic decisions to save money while still creating a memorable event. First, selecting a venue with natural beauty eliminated the need for extravagant florals and decor, significantly keeping costs down. We chose a rooftop venue with stunning ocean views that perfectly complemented our wedding aesthetic. In addition, having an all-inclusive venue streamlined our costs and reduced the confusion that comes with hiring multiple vendors, as everything from catering to the linens was covered under one package. Another significant saving was having a friend officiate the ceremony. This not only cut out hundreds of dollars in officiant fees, but it also made our ceremony more personal and meaningful. We then opted for a small tiered cake adorned with fresh florals for a beautiful appearance, while a large sheet cake provided the additional servings at a fraction of the cost of a full-tiered cake. By choosing to limit the bridal party to just a maid of honor and best man, we avoided extra expenses that come with outfitting bridesmaids and groomsmen, which can quickly add up. Finally, hiring only a month-of coordinator instead of a full-service wedding planner facilitated cheaper management of the wedding logistics and planning process. With these tips, we were able to create a beautiful wedding experience while sticking to our budget!
