ASMR: Take notes with me. ✍️☁️
My in-class notes are pretty "Plain Jane," but rewriting and decorating them later is my favorite part of the day. It strengthens my memory and lets me be completely creative! 🌸 The chaotic desk and ink-stained hands are so worth the therapeutic process. ✨
Do you still prefer handwritten notes, or have you gone completely digital? 👇

From my personal experience, rewriting and decorating handwritten notes is more than just a creative outlet—it's a powerful memory aid that helps solidify the information I learn in class. When I revisit my plain notes, I find that adding colors, doodles, and different handwriting styles makes the content more engaging and easier to recall. Incorporating ASMR elements into my study routine, like the soft sounds of pen on paper and page-turning, creates a calming atmosphere that eases mental fatigue. Aesthetic aspects, such as a chaotic yet cozy desk setup and the tactile feedback of ink on paper, add to the therapeutic nature of note decoration. Interestingly, the occipital lobes—the brain's visual processing centers—play a crucial role in how we interpret and remember visual stimuli like notes. Engaging these areas through visually rich notes can help improve memory retention, especially when you use vivid colors or images. I also find that balancing digital and handwritten notes can be beneficial. While digital tools are convenient, handwritten notes foster deeper connection and comprehension. Plus, the physical activity involved in handwriting activates different brain regions linked to learning and coordination. For those who struggle with disorganization or brain fog during studying, breaking down notes into colorful, manageable chunks can reduce overwhelm and improve focus. Planning short breaks with simple exercises like stretching or Pilates during note decoration sessions can also support mental clarity and physical balance. So, whether you prefer the tactile satisfaction of ink-stained hands or the efficiency of digital typing, incorporating creative and sensory-rich note-taking methods can turn your study sessions into a joyful, memorable experience.

Sadly I don’t think I can do this 😂
