The promenade along the beach is lively and filled with charming cafés and restaurants serving fresh seafood. Sampling local dishes like espetos (sardines grilled on skewers) was a delightful culinary adventure. Beyond the coast, I found the viewpoint at Balcón de Europa breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs. It’s a perfect spot for sunset watching or simply relaxing with a coffee in hand. The town's friendly atmosphere and slower pace make it ideal for unwinding away from busier tourist hotspots. For those interested in hiking or nature, the nearby Sierra Almijara mountains provide excellent trails with stunning vistas. Walking these paths offered me rewarding encounters with local flora and fauna, enhancing my overall experience of the area.
