If you have to do evil
Should not do it often
And should not be satisfied in doing that evil.
Because the accumulation of sin brings suffering.
Should a man commit evil, let him not do it again and again, Nor turn his heart to delight; Painful is the heaping-up of Evil.

If you do good, you should do good often.
Should be satisfied in doing that good
Because the accumulation of goodness brings happiness

จากประสบการณ์ชีวิตจริง ผมพบว่าความคิดและการกระทำของแต่ละคนมีผลอย่างมากต่อชีวิตและจิตใจ แม้ว่าการกระทำความดีอาจไม่เห็นผลทันที แต่หากทำอย่างสม่ำเสมอและด้วยใจที่พอใจ ความดีเหล่านั้นจะสะสมและส่งผลให้ชีวิตสงบสุขขึ้นได้อย่างแท้จริง ในทางกลับกัน การละเลยความเล็กน้อยที่เป็นบาป หรือการชะล่าใจคิดว่า "บาปเล็กๆ จะไม่ส่งผล" อาจนำไปสู่การสะสมความชั่วจนเกินกว่าแก้ได้ ผมเคยเจอคนที่เริ่มจากการกระทำเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ที่ผิดศีลธรรม จนทำให้เขากลายเป็นคนที่ขาดความสุขทั้งทางใจและทางสังคม นอกจากนี้ จากข้อความที่กล่าวถึงการดูแล "ทุ่งนาเล็กๆ" ในชีวิตประจำวัน ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนสมบัติหรือสิ่งที่เรามีอยู่จริง ๆ การใช้แรงของตนเองอย่างเต็มที่และไม่หวังพึ่งพาใคร ทำให้เรากลายเป็นผู้สร้างชีวิตด้วยตนเอง ผมเห็นว่าความพยายามและความเพียรนี้คือกุญแจสำคัญที่จะช่วยให้เราหลีกเลี่ยงบาปและสร้างบุญได้จริง สุดท้ายนี้ อยากให้ทุกคนรีบเร่งทำความดี ป้องกันใจจากความชั่ว ไม่ปล่อยให้ใจแปรเปลี่ยนไปชื่นชมความชั่ว เพราะการกระทำเช่นนี้จะช่วยให้เราเป็นคนที่มีใจสงบ มีชีวิตที่มีคุณค่า และพบกับความสุขอย่างยั่งยืนตามคำสอนโบราณที่กล่าวไว้ในบทความนี้
