5 essential items to sleep peacefully on a plane
This year I have been on two very long flights. One of them was 13 hours and the other was 16 hours and both times I sat in economy. I always choose the window if I hope to sleep but I also think it’s important to have the right items. I have been to almost 30 different countries so I have tried it all and these items are the best. I personally think you could use a combo of any of them but as long as you have an eye mask, blanket, noise canceling headphones, some device to watch/listen, and neck pillow you have a chance at falling asleep. I also think it’s crucial to put on pjs or a different change of clothes if your flight is over 8 hours. I know I always get sweaty walking through the airport so it’s nice to have something else to put on. I will say I’m pretty lucky and can fall asleep rather easily but it’s the staying asleep that’s the problem. I have found the more of a bubble I put myself in the easier it is to forget you’re basically on a bus in the sky and fall asleep. The other thing to keep in mind is don’t do any of this until after the food service is done because those flight attendants will wake you up and ruin the vibe.
