For oily skin, mattifying primers help control shine and reduce pore appearance. Those with dry skin benefit from hydrating primers with moisturizing ingredients that prevent dryness and flakiness under makeup. When I first started using primers, I noticed a significant difference in how my foundation applied. It felt smoother, and the finish was much more even. Plus, my makeup could withstand a full day without needing touch-ups. There are also primers designed to target specific concerns, such as redness, dullness, or fine lines, which can improve your overall complexion under makeup. Using primer correctly matters too. Apply it after your moisturizer and before foundation. A small amount is usually enough to cover your face evenly. If you struggle with longevity or uneven makeup, investing in a primer tailored to your needs might just elevate your beauty routine considerably.
